CREST APARTMENTS CERTIFIED
LEED PLATINUM FOR HOMES

MMA’s Crest Apartments, our fourth project with the Skid Row Housing Trust, has been certified LEED Platinum by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The permanent supportive housing project transformed a narrow, vacant lot in the San Fernando Valley. Located in Van Nuys along a busy commercial thoroughfare near two freeways, the 45,000 square-foot building provides 64 residential units  for formerly homeless individuals who are high utilizers of Los Angeles County’s Department of Health Services’ emergency care and homeless veterans with disabilities. Completed in 2016, the project includes supportive services and community space for residents, including resident services offices, communal kitchen, laundry room, conference room, residents’ lounge, and outdoor community garden on the ground floor.

Crest Apartments is the second of MMA’s permanent supportive housing projects with the Skid Row Housing Trust to achieve LEED Platinum status. Star Apartments was certified LEED Platinum in 2014.
