CREST APARTMENTS & TUNNEY BRIDGE RECEIVE LABC ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN AWARDS

MMA’s Crest Apartments in Van Nuys and the John V. Tunney Pedestrian Bridge at the Hammer Museum in Westwood were recognized with 2017 Los Angeles Business Council (LABC) Architectural Design Awards. Each year, the LABC honors projects for both their aesthetic design vision and their contributions to the community.

Crest Apartments, the most recent collaboration between MMA and the Skid Row Housing Trust, celebrated its grand opening in May 2017. The LEED for Homes Platinum project provides 64 homes, including 23 apartments set aside specifically for homeless veterans, for Los Angeles County’s most vulnerable homeless individuals.

The John V. Tunney Pedestrian Bridge spans over the central Hammer Museum open-air courtyard. The steel structure connects the Temporary Galleries in the western portion of the building with the Permanent Galleries to the east at the building’s second floor level. The project is one of many completed by MMA for the Hammer Museum over the past sixteen years.
