JOHN V. TUNNEY BRIDGE HONORED
WITH AIA-CC DESIGN AWARDS

Star Apartments and the John V. Tunney Pedestrian Bridge have been honored with 2015 AIA California Council (AIA-CC) Architectural Design Awards.

The AIACC Design Awards Program strives to recognize projects that are inspired architectural design exhibiting formal, technological, and spatial innovations in four categories: Architecture, Urban Design, Interior Architecture, and Small Projects.  21 Honor and Merit Award winners were selected from more than 200 entries. This year’s Awards Jury included Casey Jones, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations at the U.S. Department of State; Laurie Beckelman of Beckelman+Capalino; Sheila Kennedy, FAIA, Principal, Kennedy & Violich Architecture Ltd.; Jim Jennings, AIA, of Jim Jennings Architecture, Hraztan Zeitlian, AIA, Design Principal and Founder of Struere Architecture, and special sustainability advisor David Kaneda, FAIA.
