Currently in design, the new Luxe Lakes Hotel and Welcome Center form the core of an innovative cultural district within a new planned community in Chengdu, China. The two buildings are located side-by-side and are designed as unique architectural landmarks and signature destinations for visitors.

The Welcome Center is the entry point that greets visitors arriving by car, boat, or water taxi. Its exterior and interior organization weave together multiple circulation paths, serving to orient and connect the visitors to the many features of the building and the site.

The adjacent Hotel’s architecture creates sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. The building’s distinctive curving shape ensures that all the guest rooms have unimpeded lake views, while sheltering several intimate public spaces that enhance the character of the hotel.

The project began with a Master Plan for the entire Waterfront Village that in addition to the Hotel and Welcome Center includes a Design Center, Lifestyle Store, Retail Pavilions, and Creative Street.
