Hannah Hoyt is a Principal at Michael Maltzan Architecture and brings an interdisciplinary background in architecture, urban design, and planning to her work at MMA.

Since joining MMA, Hannah has directed several large-scale cultural, institutional, and housing projects, including the Toledo Museum of Art, the Midwest University Art Museum, and the Bakehouse Arts Complex project in Miami.

Hannah received her Master in Architecture with Distinction at Harvard University Graduate School of Design, where her research on affordable housing was published by the University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies and the Brookings Institution.

Before joining MMA, Hannah was a director at an urban planning and economic development firm based in New York, where she managed policy and planning initiatives for public and nonprofit clients nationwide. She started her career in city government, serving as a New York City Urban Fellow after receiving her B.A. from Dartmouth College.
